Pinehurst Mixed Use

This development is located in Northgate, a neighborhood of growing density due to its proximity to bus stops, grocery, retail, restaurants, parks, schools, the Northgate Light Rail Station, and the new Kraken Community Iceplex. Although it is a higher density development than its surroundings, steps were taken to provide an appropriate transition from the nearby single-family residences to the commercial artery along 15th Ave. The massing of the townhouses was sensitively designed to have a neighborhood feel and include a terraced residential court to encourage interaction between neighbors. Along 15th Ave, the residences are intermixed with small commercial spaces as well as an urban garden that provides an vibrant transition to the townhomes off the street.
